Updates & announcements

Friendship agreement between University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City and Fukushima Medical University has been tied. ホーチミン市医科薬科大学と福島県立医科大学で友好協定締結。

All courses in the very first year with this new position completed successfully thanks to great collaboration of guest lecturers and active participation of students. 異動して初年度の講義・演習終了。ご協力いただいた講師の皆様、熱心に参加した学生の皆様、ありがとうございました。

I am serving as an editorial committee member of Ministry of Environment's handbook for evacuees who are planning to return home. The book will soon be published in March! (Picture from Dentsu building where the editorial meeting was held.) 環境省の事業で、福島県で故郷に帰る方々向けの手引書の作成に協力。ヘルスリテラシーの視点を取り入れました。3月出版！

Two health literacy workshops were carried out in Koriyama and Fukushima. The next one will be at FMU. 郡山市と福島市でヘルスリテラシー研修を実施。次回は医大。

Activity report at the start of 2017

Two special lectures have been completed successfully with an attendance of many active participants!　These were about working with children in Fukushima (Dr. Alison Lloyd Williams) and health literacy promotion at the organizational level (Mr. Alden Y Lai). ２つの特別講義へのご参加ありがとうございました。これから楽しんでいただける企画を続けます。
In this week, we also organized a health literacy workshop and a meeting.　今週はヘルスリテラシーの研修や会議も行いました。ヘルスリテラシーにご関心のある方はお声かけください。

Future planning with Lancaster University

Dr. Alison Lloyd Williams of Lancaster University has reported her activities with children in Fukushima. She is registered at FMU as a post-doctoral researcher and will continue to work with us. In order to expand our work, I have joined the CUIDAR's international advisory group. 博士研究員ランカスター大学Alison Lloyd Williams先生が福島の活動について報告しています。今後も共同研究を継続するにあたり、私もCUIDARのinternational advisory groupに参加することになりました。

A paper about sexual child abuse first authored by Mr. Toshihiro Terui (MD-PhD student) has been accepted to Koseino Shihyo. 指導しているMD-PhDコース照井稔宏さんの性的児童虐待に関する論文が厚生の指標に受理されました。
My paper about maternal confidence in Fukushima has been accepted to Asian Pacific Journal of Public Health. 福島県における母親の育児の自信に関する私が論文がAsian Pacific Journal of Public Healthに受理されました。

"Deciphering the health literate organization"

米国ジョンズホプキンズ公衆衛生大学院医療政策・管理学博士課程Alden Y Lai先生による、大学院認定特別講義を行います。Lai先生は、震災後の福島におけるヘルスリテラシー推進活動に参画しています。今回は医療政策の面からヘルスリテラシー推進についてお話していただきます。

英国ランカスター大学社会学講座Alison Lloyd Williams先生による、大学院認定特別講義を行います。Lloyd Williams先生は、震災後に子どもと地域の復興について演劇を通じて一緒に考えるプロジェクトを国際的に実施しています。福島県でも2か月間、小学生や本学学生と一緒に活動し、その成果を発表します。是非とも多数の皆様にご出席いただきたく、ご案内申し上げます。
